From a series of kits produced by Imai called Megaro Zamac. I don't think there was ever an anime show related to this series, I think Imai simply produced them to cash in on the giant robot model craze. This is the title mecha, the Zamac, I stuck fairly closely to the original design but added a lot of extra detail since the models were fairly primitive compared to newer anime mecha kits. I have no idea if there is any sort of background story to the Zamac range so I didn't know what kind of background scene to create so I settled for some fairly SF looking buildings.
The background was rendered in Vue 5 Infinite.
